WE HAVE THIS LAND.  NOW WHAT?

 

Psalm 115:1 says, “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name goes all the glory for your unfailing love and faithfulness.” Our property is an offering to God to bring glory to His name.  We believe that God wants to use this property as a tool to reach our community. We are not building to draw attention to ourselves, but to draw others to Him.

 

We asked ourselves, what does this community need? How could our property best be used to attract people to Christ? The answer has proven to be unique. We don’t want a building that will just be used once or twice a week for believers alone. We believe that God has led us to bless the community by building a complex that the community sees as a hub of activity: a park for families to play, practice fields for kid’s soccer, outdoor basketball and volleyball courts, as well as a building that can be used for weddings and receptions, Community Theater, or business seminars. We are convinced that God is asking us to build a bridge to help people find Him. We want this property that God has given us to be the natural “third place” for our community— that place outside of home and work where people naturally congregate. A PLACE, NOT A BUILDING

 

This is a spiritual endeavor to reach the community of South Lakeland. God is not asking us to sacrifice for a building or for property, but to sacrifice for those who do not yet know him. It’s not a building that we are after, but a place. A place for the community, a place to gather, a place to play, a place to celebrate, a place to laugh, a place for families, a place to grow, a place to have fun, a place for kids, a place to run, a place to hide, a place to relax, a place... to find God.
